What happens if the AI misses something?
Our liability on any monitoring claim is capped at a maximum of 3 months' subscription fees for the affected service. It's a defined, no-argument remedy set out in your agreement. For larger exposures we also carry professional indemnity cover behind that.
Do you provide armed response?
No. Kevlar Monitoring is your intelligence and dispatch layer — we detect, verify, route and call. When an incident is verified, SARA calls your nominated responders (your own armed response provider, keyholders or SAPS). You arrange the actual armed reaction with your chosen provider.
Who decides who gets called?
You do. We load your nominated contacts into the escalation list and route every verified incident exactly where you want it, in the order you choose.
What's the difference between Kevlar Lite and Kevlar Alive?
Kevlar Lite places 1 outbound call, escalating one after another to up to 3 numbers if there's no answer. Kevlar Alive places 3 simultaneous calls to 3 parties at once, escalating across 3 layers, and adds the full agentic operator features — camera health checks, incident interviews, passphrase alarm disabling, forensic search, Immix integration, and customisable modules.
How fast do I get the incident report?
Within 10 minutes of the event. Every report includes time, date and location, weather and lighting conditions, video clips, voice logs and audio, and typed call transcripts — delivered by email, text and dashboard.
What do I need to provide?
Reliable performance depends on you providing stable internet connectivity and backup power to the system. Events during a loss of client-supplied internet or power fall outside monitored cover.
Can Kevlar Alive be customised?
Yes — Kevlar Alive is 100% customisable with add-on modules such as a Health & Safety package, LPR and access control, or scheduled AI tours. Tell us your site and we'll tailor it.
What can SARA detect?
Edge analytics detect humans, vehicles, licence plates (LPR), perimeter intrusion, firearms, loitering and blind alarms — then SARA verifies each trigger on live video before responding.
How much does it cost?
Kevlar Lite is R350 per camera per month and Kevlar Alive is R550 per camera per month, excluding VAT. Use our cost calculator for an instant comparison, or book a free assessment for exact pricing.
