Continuous eyes. Simultaneous response.
- Continuous AI watching — SARA's inference on every feed, every second of the contracted window
- Objective rule enforcement — up to 25 standing orders per camera, applied identically to everyone, every shift
- Simultaneous call routing — 3 calls placed at once across 3 escalation layers, so the incident never waits for voicemail
- Intrusion & zone protection — restricted areas watched during trading hours
- SARA Edge on-site intervention — optional add-on licence: voice talk-down, lighting and sirens, subject to compatible hardware
- Behaviour & safety flags — configurable to your policies
- Incident report in five minutes — checked by a person and issued inside ten
- Weekly activity summary — hours watched, events flagged, outcomes
She doesn't just call for help. She intervenes.
Most monitoring services detect, then wait for someone else to arrive. With SARA Edge added, she acts on the site herself. It is a separate licence priced on assessment, because what it can do depends entirely on the hardware you already have.
She speaks
SARA can address a person directly and describe what she can see: "You in the red shirt and blue trousers — this area is restricted. Leave the premises now." Being named and described is a far stronger deterrent than a siren, because it removes any doubt that someone is watching.
She lights the area
Lighting is triggered on the zone in question — removing the cover an intruder was relying on, and giving your responders a lit scene to arrive into rather than a dark one.
She sounds the sirens
On-site sirens activate immediately, not after a phone call is answered. Most intrusions end here: the deterrent fires while the person is still deciding whether to continue.
Ten seconds, at 05:22.
A retail mall in the North West had been hit twice under human guarding — a ninety-minute burglary and an ATM bombing. Then Kevlar Alive went live across all forty cameras.
The detection
At 05:22 a white bakkie with no number plates cut the bolt on the gate and drove onto the property — inside the locked window, when the site's standing order says nobody is present.
Not a judgement call. A written rule, broken.
The response, in ten seconds
On-site sirens triggered. An audio talk-down opened. Three separate armed response companies were called in the same instant — not one after another down a list.
All three were moving while the intruders were still on the property. The attack was stopped before it started.
What never trips an alarm.
Alarm systems answer one question: has a sensor been crossed? A great deal of loss never crosses one.
Invisible to a sensor
- Trading-hours intrusion — someone in a restricted zone at 2pm, when the alarm is disarmed
- Slow theft — stock leaving gradually, in amounts no stock-take flags for months
- Procedural drift — the process quietly stops being followed, long before it shows in the numbers
- Pre-attack behaviour — loitering, watching, approach patterns before anything is touched
- Contractors off-scope — legitimate people in places they were never cleared for
- Camera tampering — a lens turned or covered, days before it matters
What Alive does about it
- SARA watches every feed continuously, not on trigger
- Measures behaviour against up to 25 standing orders per camera
- Acts the instant a rule is broken — seconds, not minutes
- Can intervene on site with the optional SARA Edge add-on
- Calls three responders simultaneously, so nobody waits on a busy line
- Reports within five minutes, checked by a person, issued inside ten
Kevlar Lite or Kevlar Alive?
Both run on SARA and both act on your written rules. The difference is when she is watching, and what she can do about it.
Kevlar Lite — R350/camera
- Event-triggered. SARA assesses when an alarm or camera event fires
- Filters false alarms before they reach you
- Sequential calls to up to 3 numbers, in order, until answered
- Verified clip attached to the escalation
- Best for: after-hours cover on sites with a working alarm system
Kevlar Alive — R550/camera
- Continuous. SARA watches every feed the whole contracted window
- Catches what never trips a sensor — slow theft, drift, trading-hours intrusion
- Three simultaneous calls across three escalation layers
- SARA Edge available — optional add-on for voice, lighting and sirens on site
- Best for: sites where loss happens during the day, or where seconds matter
Questions, answered straight.
What does Kevlar Alive cost?
R550 per camera per month, excluding VAT. SARA Edge — on-site voice talk-down, lighting and siren activation — is an optional add-on licence priced separately on assessment, because what it can do depends on your existing hardware. Your site needs stable internet and backup power.
What are contracted hours?
The window you want watched continuously. Some sites run Alive overnight only, some across trading hours when loss actually happens, and some 24/7. It is set in your agreement and priced the same per camera; a site assessment recommends the window that fits your risk.
Does a person watch my cameras on Alive?
No. SARA watches every feed and acts on the standing orders written for your site, without waiting for a person to authorise the response — which is how the whole sequence runs in seconds. Humans govern rather than operate: they write the rules with you, and they check every incident report before it is issued.
What is SARA Edge?
The capability that lets SARA act on the site itself rather than only calling for help: speaking directly to a person, activating lighting, and sounding sirens. It is an optional add-on licence on top of Kevlar Alive, priced on assessment. What it can do depends on your existing equipment — speakers for voice, controllable lighting, siren integration — so the assessment establishes both capability and cost before anything is quoted.
Can SARA really talk to someone on site?
Yes, where two-way audio hardware is fitted. She can describe what she sees — for example, telling a person in a red shirt that the area is restricted and to leave — which is a far stronger deterrent than a siren. She can also ask a contractor what they are doing there, check a passphrase against your records, and stand the zone down for an agreed period, resolving it without a call-out.
Why three calls at once instead of a call list?
A sequential list waits for the first company to answer before trying the second. Calling three at the same instant means the fastest available unit responds, whoever that is on the night, and nobody waits on a busy line while an incident is in progress.
How is Alive different from Kevlar Lite?
Lite is event-triggered: SARA assesses when an alarm or camera event fires, filters false alarms, and escalates by sequential calls to up to three numbers. Alive is continuous: SARA watches every feed the whole window, catches what never trips a sensor, places three calls simultaneously, and includes SARA Edge for on-site intervention. Lite is R350 per camera, Alive is R550.
